High School FFA Officer Responsibilities

Each high school's FFA officers are asked to select, organize, and lead one competition station. Officers may propose an alternative activity with approval from their FFA advisor. Please let us know if assistance or equipment is needed.

During the welcome activity, FFA officers should:

  • Introduce themselves and get to know incoming students.

  • Encourage students to enroll in agricultural education and become active FFA members.

  • Collect student names, phone numbers, and email addresses, along with parent/guardian phone numbers and email addresses, using school-approved procedures.

  • Explain how students can request agricultural education courses during high school registration and encourage them to follow up with their counselors if needed.

We Look Forward to Seeing You!

Our goal is to give students a memorable agricultural experience while building relationships between future FFA members and their high school FFA leaders.

Hosted by Carroll County Young Farmers in partnership with local agricultural education and FFA programs.

We look forward to welcoming the next generation of agricultural leaders!
