$30.00

’Avalon’ is a new pecan cultivar patented by the University of Georgia and released to growers in 2017. It has a large nut size (46 nuts/lb.), similar in size to the popular ’Desireable’ pecan. Percent kernel is 53.7%. Harvest date is early mid-season. ’Avalon’ is highly resistant to scab. Pollinate with Creek Pecan.

The Carroll County Young Farmers will have plants available for pickup from December 2 – December 9 at the Carroll County Agriculture Center, 900 Newnan Rd., Carrollton, GA.

We kindly ask that all plants be picked up during this time frame. Any plants not picked up by December 9 will be donated to local FFA chapters. This is due to the need to prepare the Agriculture Center for other scheduled activities and to reduce the risk of theft from prolonged storage.

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting agriculture in our community!
